3. Working Principle

Based on the principle of electromagnetic induction, the sensor contains a built-in high-frequency oscillating coil.

  • When a metallic object enters the detection range, eddy currents are induced inside the metal. These eddy currents cause a decrease in the Q-factor of the oscillating circuit, eventually stopping the oscillation.
  • The circuit detects the change in oscillation state and converts it into a switch signal for output:
    • No metallic object present: Outputs a high level.
    • Metallic object present: Outputs a low level.
