The MTL4014 is a switch/proximity detector interface module in MTL’s 4000 series. Its main characteristics are as follows:
It is mainly used to connect switch-type sensors, proximity detectors and other devices in hazardous areas, and transmit their signals to safe-area systems.
The isolation voltage between the safe area and hazardous area circuits is 250V AC, which can effectively prevent hazardous energy from entering the hazardous area and ensure system safety.
A separate reed relay is used to send line fault signals. The Line Fault Detection (LFD) function can be used for both proximity detectors and switches; however, for switches, an appropriate resistor must be added according to the circuit diagram.
- Adopts a compact modular design with "plug-in" connection terminals, which can be inserted into the system backplane.
- Safe-area connections are made via multi-channel connectors, simplifying engineering installation and maintenance, while reducing costs and the risk of errors.
- The top of the module is equipped with status LED indicators, configuration switches and ports, facilitating operation and monitoring.
