Input Characteristics: Hazardous area input accepts proximity detector signals compliant with NAMUR/DIN 19234 standard. The voltage applied to the sensor is 7 to 9V, provided by a 1kΩ±10% resistor. Under normal (reverse) phase:
If input current Iin > 2.1mA or input resistance Rin < 2kΩ, the output is energized (de-energized).
If Iin < 1.2mA or Rin > 10kΩ, the output is de-energized (energized), with a typical hysteresis of 200μA.
Output Characteristics: The safe-area output consists of two relays with changeover contacts. The relay type is single-pole double-throw (SPDT), with a maximum response time of 10ms. The contact rating is 250V AC, 2A (cosφ > 0.7); 40V DC, 2A (resistive load).
Line Fault Detection (LFD): Can be enabled via the switch on the top of the device. Each channel is equipped with an LED indicator to display line faults; when a line fault is detected, the relay is de-energized.
Open-circuit alarm is activated when Iin < 100μA and deactivated when Iin > 250μA.
Short-circuit alarm is activated when Rin < 100Ω and deactivated when Rin > 360Ω.
Phase Inversion: Each channel supports independent user-selectable phase inversion settings.
LED Indicators:
Green: Power indicator.
Yellow (2 indicators): Each indicates the status of one channel (lights up when the output is energized).
Red (2 indicators): Each indicates a line fault of one channel (lights up when a line fault is detected).
Power Supply Requirements: Supply voltage is 85 to 265V AC, frequency 45 to 65Hz.
Power Consumption: Maximum power consumption is less than 2.5W; for example, 1.4W under 24V power supply and 1.5W under 35V power supply.
Isolation Performance: Isolation voltage between power supply, hazardous area circuits, and relay outputs is 250V AC or DC.
Intrinsically Safe Parameters: Maximum voltage of the intrinsically safe circuit is 10.5V, maximum current is 14mA, and maximum power is 37mW.
